At Level Nine, we leverage bio-nanotechnology and quantum chemistry to develop the world’s first nanozymes, next-generation catalysts that bridge the gap between traditional catalysts and enzymes to unlock new possibilities for green chemicals production. We’re a young, VC-backed deep tech startup based in Berlin, and we’re putting together a world-class, interdisciplinary team of scientists who will work at the intersection of nanotechnology, biochemistry, and quantum/computational chemistry.

Business and Finance Support (Working Student)

Working field:

We are seeking a talented and motivated working student to join our team and support the CEO in managing the day-to-day operational and financial aspects of the company. This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded individual to gain valuable experience and to work directly with the CEO of a VC-backed deep tech startup. If you want to be an founder, this is your chance to get hands on exposure to running a promising company in a fast paced environment.

Requirements:

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

  • Fluency in German (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working with online tools (Miro, Excel, Notion), or ability to quickly pick it up.

What we offer:

  • Starting Date: ASAP.
  • Location: The role is based in Berlin, but remote work is possible.
  • Hours: Flexible, but approximately 5-10 hours per week on average, which we can increase over time if there’s a good fit.
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, TBD.
  • Duration: Six months to start, with an option to extend.
